Glory-of-the-Snow

Glory-of-the-snow is a tiny spring ephemeral that blooms at the same time as crocuses and snowdrops, and is most known for its star-shaped blooms peeking out of snowcaps. Mounted on a textured silvery-grey backing and in a weathered silver frame in a nod to the starlike nature of the flowers, they bring me comfort in the early spring, reminding me that winter is almost over. Perfect as a holiday gift, meant to fill that awkward patch of a wall in the hallway or gallery wall. Part of the "All that Glitters is not Gold" Collection.

You will receive:

An herbarium of a pressed glory-of-the-snow from a local educational institution on silvery textured mountboard in a weathered silver wood frame, signed on the back.

Framed with UV blocking conservation clear glass and acrylic spacers meant to keep the flower from touching glass and to preserve coloration as much as possible.

Framing hardware has been installed so the piece hangs on the diagonal, so it takes up more space than would seem from the dimensions.

A certificate of authenticity with care instructions.

Dimensions (Framed): 10.25"x7.25"

All flowers are sourced within 50 miles of Madison, WI and designed in my studio. Human-collected, designed, and made. No AI.
