Crocus-scape: Original Pressed Flower Artwork

Crocuses are one of the quintessential spring ephemerals, usually depicted with purple petals peeking out of the snow, but did you know that these short-lived beauties come in different colors and sizes? Granted, they're all some shade of white, purple, and gold, but it's still a marvelous sight to see in the early spring, especially when interspersed with their green grass-like leaves. I wanted to share that botanical joy in this piece.

An assortment of local crocuses, set on acid-free white mount board in a gold frame, ready to hang.

Framed with conservation clear glass and spacers to preserve coloration as much as possible

Signed with the artist's name and care instructions on the back.

All flowers are sourced within 50 miles of Madison, WI and designed in my studio.
